Baton Rouge's downtown's rebound more than a decade ago didn't include the Capitol House, an abandoned hotel that once was a surrogate statehouse for Huey P. Long.

Commercial Properties assembled $70 million in equity and bank financing, historic and other tax credits to renovate the hotel, allowing progress in the downtown to continue.

Now flying the Hilton flag, the hotel has the highest occupancy rate in its market and customers rate it among the best in the nation.

In overall service, the full-service hotel ranks among the top 10 of nearly 300 flying the Hilton flag in the U.S. For more, visit Hilton Baton Rouge.
