Acadian Village
Commercial Properties is redeveloping Acadian Village shopping center. Located near Louisiana State University and off Interstate 10, the center already has the highest-performing restaurant outside of New Orleans in the Acme Oyster chain. Acadian Village will extend the spirit of an adjacent shopping destination that includes more than a dozen restaurants, local boutiques and specialty stores. A national grocer plans an upscale store in Acadian Village and several restaurants are prepared to sign on soon. Construction should begin in the next 12 months. Hilton Capitol Center
The Hilton Capitol Center in downtown Baton Rouge blends both history and elegance. A $70 million renovation brought the hotel back to life in 2006. The 290-room hotel is adjacent to the Shaw Center and the River Center Convention Center, is less than five minutes from the Louisiana State Capitol and only three miles from Louisiana State University.
